Waste management and circular economy development agency

On February 12, a Republican working group led by the Director of the Agency, Sharifbek Khasanov, held another field reception at the “Shodlik” Cultural Center of the “Isvakon” Mahalla Citizens’ Assembly in Turakurgan district of Namangan region.

During the reception, citizens from various districts of the region presented their applications, proposals, and complaints to responsible officials regarding waste management services. The main issues raised concerned the quality of sanitary cleaning services, monitoring of accounts receivable, organization of waste collection points, procedures for the removal of construction waste, recalculation of service charges, and the coverage of the population with waste collection services.

Approximately 50 appeals were received during the meeting, each of which was reviewed individually. Some issues were resolved on the spot, while those requiring detailed examination were forwarded to the relevant departments and system organizations, with their implementation placed under strict supervision.

For reference: these events are conducted in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 445 “On Amendments and Additions to the Law ‘On Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities’” and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 341 “On Approval of the Model Regulation on the Procedure for Handling Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities in State Bodies, State Institutions, and Organizations with State Participation.”

In the second part of the event, construction works were inspected at the waste-to-energy plant being built in the “Angor” mahalla of Chust district in the region.

During the visit, issues related to occupational safety and the proper organization of safety measures were examined. A meeting was held with representatives of the initiating company, during which the importance of ensuring safety guarantees during the seasonal period and creating favorable working conditions for employees was emphasized.

It should be noted that such events play an important role in ensuring environmental sustainability and enhancing public satisfaction in our country.
