Professor Nurboy Jabborov, Doctor of Philology, delivered a presentation entitled “The Legacy of Great Thinkers and the Challenges of Globalization.” In his speech, he cited examples from the lives and works of the two great figures, emphasizing that the philosophical ghazals of our ancestors remain highly relevant today and continue to convey profound humanistic values.
During the event, Shukhrat Oripov, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, poet, and recipient of the “Dustlik” Order, presented a lecture titled “The Theme of Nature in the Works of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Babur.” He highlighted the differing interpretations of nature in their works: while Navoi portrayed nature in a symbolic and philosophical manner, reflecting the inner world of the individual, Babur depicted nature realistically, based on careful observation.
The event continued with vibrant cultural and lyrical performances. A special highlight was the musical program “The Genius of Navoi Lives On,” featuring songs based on Navoi’s ghazals, which added a distinctive spirit to the gathering.
In conclusion, Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur hold a distinguished place in the culture, literature, and poetry of the medieval East. As writers, poets, scholars, and prominent statesmen, their broad worldview and exceptional intellect make them equally cherished and respected by all of us.
