Temporary restrictions imposed on electricity payment for nearly 152,000 subscribers with outstanding waste collection debts

As of January 16 of the current year, according to data from the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development, SMS notifications regarding unpaid debts for waste collection services totaling 87.5 billion UZS were sent from the short code “2100” of JSC “Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari” to 873,990 subscribers nationwide.
Following this, subscribers were given a period of five (5) days to settle their outstanding debts, during which 7.4 billion UZS was paid.
In addition, across the Republic, temporary restrictions on electricity payment were imposed on 151,202 subscribers who have outstanding debts for household waste collection services totaling 14.8 billion UZS.
We remind you that these restrictions are lifted immediately after full repayment of the debt.
For reference:
Law No. 1044 establishes the procedure for payment discipline for waste collection and removal services. In accordance with this law, by the 3rd day of each month, information on debtors is transferred from the “Toza Makon” electronic billing system of the Agency for Waste Management to the billing system of JSC “Hududiy Elektr Tarmoqlari”.
This procedure does not apply to debts incurred before June 30, 2025.
For debts related to waste collection services formed from July 1, 2025, enforcement measures are applied starting from November 5 of the current year.
It was previously reported that starting from January 1, 2026, payment for waste collection services will be carried out exclusively in an online format and only for services actually rendered.
