Today, the Committee on Family and Women held an award ceremony for the winners of the republican stage of the national “Woman of the Year” competition and the “Most Exemplary Woman Activist” contest.
We are pleased to note that the Grand Prix of the national “Woman of the Year – 2025” competition was awarded to Gulmira Jumayeva, head of the sanitation service enterprise “Anvarjon business invest” LLC in Kattakurgan city, Samarkand region.
As previously reported, Gulmira Jumayeva spent many years as a labor migrant in the Russian Federation, where she worked at a waste recycling enterprise. After returning to Uzbekistan in 2016, she applied her accumulated experience for the benefit of the country, establishing effective activities aimed at preventing environmental pollution, collecting household waste from the population, and ensuring its sorting and recycling.
It should be noted that in recognition of her efforts in the field of waste management and environmental protection, she was awarded the “Nature Protector” badge earlier this year.
Making effective use of the broad opportunities created by the state to support entrepreneurship, Gulmira Jumayeva has established five limited liability companies and created permanent jobs for nearly 450 young people and women.
To expand production capacity, modern equipment worth USD 100,000 was imported from the People’s Republic of China. Over the past five years, goods worth 178 billion soums have been produced at her enterprises.
For her outstanding initiative, environmental responsibility, and effective entrepreneurial activity, Gulmira Jumayeva was deemed worthy of the highest award — the Grand Prix — and was presented with a gift from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan: a car. The award was ceremonially presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Chairwoman of the Committee on Family and Women, Zulayho Makhkamova.
On behalf of the Agency’s leadership and staff, we sincerely congratulate our colleague — a devoted representative of the sanitation service — on this well-deserved recognition and wish her continued success!
