On the initiative of the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on environmental issues — Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change, Aziz Abduhakimov, a nationwide “Urgent 20 Days” cleanliness campaign will be held across the country from December 20, 2025, to January 10, 2026.
Accordingly, a Republican Operational штаб has been established at the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development. During the campaign, sanitation enterprises will ensure the removal of solid household waste from all territories.
In addition, necessary measures will be taken to keep neighborhood areas clean, prevent waste accumulation during the holiday period, and strictly comply with the timely removal of waste through additional duty shifts beyond the approved schedules.
The goal of the “Urgent 20 Days” cleanliness campaign is to create a festive New Year atmosphere among the population, maintain environmental cleanliness, and contribute to further improvement of the ecological situation.
In this regard, we kindly urge individuals and legal entities to treat the environment responsibly in matters related to waste management, including refraining from disposing of waste in unauthorized areas. Please note that any environmental violations will result in liability in accordance with the legislation.
