Since the beginning of the year, nearly 10,000 cases of illegal waste dumping have been detected in Uzbekistan

From January to November 2025, a total of 9,817 violations related to the disposal of waste in unauthorized and illegal locations were recorded in Uzbekistan. These violations were identified through IP cameras installed across the country by a working group of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, which is responsible for installing online surveillance cameras and conducting continuous monitoring.
Out of the total number of violations, 3,714 cases were committed using vehicles, and 6,103 cases were committed by individuals.
In 2,232 cases, appropriate penalties have already been applied, while 7,585 cases are still under review.
The highest number of violations was recorded in the following regions:
- Andijan region — 3,001 cases
- Namangan region — 2,937 cases
- Fergana region — 1,645 cases
Additionally:
- Samarkand region — 981 cases
- Tashkent region — 434 cases
- Surkhandarya region — 250 cases
- Syrdarya region — 144 cases
- Tashkent city — 121 cases
- Khorezm region — 117 cases
- Navoi region — 99 cases
- Kashkadarya region — 70 cases
- Jizzakh region — 16 cases
- Bukhara region — 2 cases
The total amount of fines imposed for the established violations (2,232 cases) amounted to 956 million 887 thousand soums.
The installed cameras make it possible to detect not only cases of waste dumping but also other types of environmental violations, enabling the authorities to take appropriate action.
