From the foreign side, Nikolai Alexandru-Chideschuk, Executive Director of JP Morgan; Peter Secheni, Emerging Markets Analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management; and Christian Mejrup, Investment Director, participated. The Uzbekistan side was represented by Ilkhomjon Umrzakov and Khurshed Mustafayev, Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance; Jasur Karshibayev, Minister's Advisor; and Bobur Abdinazarov, Chairman of the Board of UzAssets.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on Uzbekistan's economic development, further enhancing investment attractiveness, as well as economic reforms aimed at creating a favorable business environment. Special attention was given to infrastructure projects being implemented in the country using public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms.
The foreign side highly appreciated the positive dynamics of macroeconomic reforms and emphasized that significant achievements have been made in improving the business environment and strengthening economic stability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in long-term partnership and indicated their readiness to expand cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
