On April 2 of this year, Ablulaziz Khaydarov, Chairman of the Treasury Service Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Kai Kaiser, Senior Governance and Public Sector Specialist at the World Bank in the Europe and Central Asia Region.
The meeting exchanged views on the ongoing broad socio-economic reforms aimed at comprehensive development of regions, achieving high economic growth, and ensuring employment and increasing incomes of the population through support for entrepreneurship.
Plans for cooperation in developing a model structure of local executive authorities were also discussed in order to increase the role and responsibility of local khokimiyats in this regard.
Kai Kaiser expressed the World Bank's readiness to continue cooperation with Uzbekistan, to cooperate in developing a model structure of local executive authorities, and to support reforms in this regard.
