The compliance of accounting and auditing fields with international standards is being evaluated

This meeting was conducted within the framework of AA ROSC assessments, with the aim of developing Uzbekistan's accounting and auditing system, enhancing its compliance with international standards, and improving the institutional framework in this field.
For information: AA ROSC assessments are an international-scale analysis process conducted by the World Bank in more than 121 countries. This process serves to evaluate the status of transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and to improve the financial reporting system based on international requirements.
During the meeting, World Bank representatives analyzed the status of questionnaires completed by relevant ministries and departments for conducting AA ROSC assessments, the important issues raised in them, as well as changes in legislative norms in the field of accounting and auditing in recent years.
In particular, proposals for developing the financial reporting and audit system were discussed, including enhancing enterprise reporting systems based on international experience and implementing an audit system in accordance with international standards. Additionally, the necessity of introducing international requirements and new technologies in the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further enhance cooperation within the framework of the ROSC project, complete it in a short timeframe, and publish the results. They also committed to jointly working on improving financial accountability and auditing in Uzbekistan, as well as fully integrating with international standards.
