For reference: "Halyk Bank" is part of the "Halyk" group, which operates in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Georgia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, and engages in banking, insurance, brokerage, and leasing activities.
The meeting discussed prospects for developing economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Special attention was given to deepening cooperation in the banking sector, expanding investment collaboration, and supporting business activities.
The main topics of discussion were:
- Development of the investment potential of Tenge Bank
The leadership of "Halyk Bank" provided information on the bank's investment activities in 2024 and its financial performance.
- Supporting entrepreneurship
Mechanisms for supporting entrepreneurs, including attracting investments and introducing new methods to create conditions for sustainable economic growth, were discussed. Special attention was given to mechanisms such as digital loans for individual entrepreneurs and online onboarding for businesses.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects that will contribute to the development of the economies of both countries.
