A practical seminar was conducted on establishing a new system to ensure high economic growth and employment in the regions, as well as to enhance the efficiency in developing annual programs for comprehensive socio-economic development of the territories

The seminar was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, First Deputy Hokims of the regions and Tashkent city, First Deputy Heads of the Main Departments of Economy and Finance, and employees of the consolidated division of the Department of Economy responsible for developing territorial programs.
During the event, a presentation demonstrated the practical methodology for developing 9 subprograms envisaged in the annual program for comprehensive socio-economic development of the regions. The presentation also highlighted aspects that should receive special attention in the program.
Additionally:
- Explanations on the financial, economic, and administrative powers and opportunities granted to local executive authorities;
- Effective utilization of funds from international financial institutions;
- Development of an accelerated comprehensive development program for 15 districts (cities) were explained;
- the mechanisms for formulating and implementing at least 5 driver projects by 2025 in each district and city in the areas of industry, agriculture, and services, which will stimulate the economic growth of the region were provided.
