An exchange of views took place on the role of innovation in the development of SMEs with representatives of the World Bank

During the meeting, representatives of the World Bank informed about the qualification of business ideas of SMEs that applied for participation in the program, as well as about the mechanisms for supporting and co-financing the project in the process from the research and development (R&D) stage to the commercialization stage.
Within the framework of this MUNIS project, an exchange of views took place on the possibilities of providing assistance to SMEs in the implementation of innovative projects in the regions.
Also during the discussions, work was announced on the formation of the second phase of the MUNIS project and the study of the possibilities of its implementation with the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as on the preparation of relevant proposals.
At the same time, issues of conducting an analysis of the ecosystem of innovations and start-up projects and the development of digital entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, assessing the current situation, preparing relevant practical proposals with the study of international experience were discussed, and an agreement was reached to attract an international expert with the support of the World Bank.
