For information: Sohar International is a bank institution from Oman, established in 2007. The bank offers banking solutions to individuals and legal entities, including accounts and deposits, loans, insurance, and asset management.
The Uzbek-Oman Investment Company (OUIC) is an international investment company that has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2010. The company's main objectives are to achieve long-term capital growth, contribute to the economic development of Uzbekistan, and strengthen the strategic and economic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ahmed Al Musalmi, Chairman of the Board of Sohar International Bank, Omar Bahram, CEO of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company, and other representatives. From Uzbekistan, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Jasur Karshibayev participated.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the economic situation in Uzbekistan. Particular attention was given to the current state of the national economy and the analysis of key macroeconomic indicators.
Additionally, the participants discussed the current areas of cooperation in the financial sector and prospects for expanding partnerships. Special focus was placed on the reform of Uzbekistan's banking sector and general trends in the finance and investment sectors.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue communication and joint work to strengthen business relations and further develop cooperation.
