For information: Sojitz Corporation is a major trading and investment company in Japan with offices in over 50 countries worldwide. The company is engaged in a wide range of activities, including energy, infrastructure, transportation, real estate, and the chemical industry.
The meeting was attended by Chizuo Watanabe, Regional General Manager for the Middle East and Africa, Joyston D'Almeida, Deputy Manager of the Infrastructure Department for the Middle East and Africa, and other company representatives. On the Uzbek side, the meeting was attended by Ilkhomjon Umrzakov, Director of the Public-Private Partnership Project Implementation Department, and other responsible officials.
During the meeting, special attention was given to issues related to the joint implementation of infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing Uzbekistan’s energy, transport, and water infrastructure. The parties discussed possible ways of introducing advanced technologies in these areas and explored the prospects of attracting investment to implement infrastructure initiatives based on public-private partnership (PPP).
In conclusion, the parties expressed their interest in further cooperation and readiness to implement joint projects on the basis of PPP, contributing to the sustainable development of Uzbekistan's infrastructure.
