A meeting with Siemens on advancing cooperation in energy, industrial development, and economic decarbonization was held

At the Ministry of Economy and Finance, a meeting was held on the further cooperation in energy, industrial development, and economic decarbonisation. This session brought together representatives from Siemens Energy, including Maxim Zubov, Vice President for the Turkey and Central Asia subregion, and Stanislav Pak, Director of the Representative Office, alongside officials from the Green Economy Development Department, Department of Finance and Tariff Policy of Basic Industries, Fuel and Energy Complex and Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties engaged in discussions regarding the ongoing projects within energy sector, including thermal power plant in Surkhandarya region, further close cooperation on developing projects by using innovative and energy efficient technologies, aiming to optimize energy production and enhance efficiency across the broader industrial landscape.
Additionally, Siemens Energy proposed strengthening the cooperation in the energy sector by the implementation of cogeneration projects for district heating including heat pump systems, power plants, solar PV projects, wind power generation, digitalization, battery energy storage solutions, and development of green hydrogen projects.
The parties agreed to initiate a collaborative framework aimed at facilitating the transition to a green economy by providing technical assistance for capacity building. This initiative is dedicated to disseminating existing green and innovative technologies for reaching the decarbonisation in industry with a focus on supporting national companies and entrepreneurs in their efforts.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a consensus to expedite their collaborative efforts.
