The discussion focused on the details of a project being implemented by "Hancom Group" to create "Smart Classes" (SMART CLASS) in schools and higher educational institutions across the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the establishment of an educational center for IT and Korean language training.
Background: Founded in 1989, "Hancom Group" is engaged in the development and distribution of office software. Its subsidiary, "Hancom Academy," manages an online platform for training in advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and drone operation.
As part of the project, funded by investments from "Hancom Group," 66 "Smart Classes" are planned to be established by the end of 2024 in 43 schools, 7 higher educational institutions, and 1 technical college in the Republic of Uzbekistan. This includes 44 classes in Tashkent, 1 class in the Andijan region, and 21 classes in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Additionally, with the involvement of "Hancom Academy," an educational center for IT and Korean language training is planned to be created at the Takhiyatash Pedagogical College. This college will be managed by "Hancom Academy" and will be equipped with modern computer equipment and technical training tools.
In collaboration with "Hancom Group," the phased creation of 1,250 "Smart Classes" is planned throughout the Republic of Uzbekistan. These classes will offer students education in IT technologies as well as Korean language studies. It is expected that successful completion of these educational programs will provide students with opportunities to continue their education at universities in South Korea and secure employment in relevant sectors both within Uzbekistan and abroad.
The project also includes the professional development of teaching staff, which will contribute to improving the quality of education in the republic.
