The meeting explored opportunities for broad co-operation in various sectors including railway systems, medicine, communications and rubber technologies as well as energy.
For information: Ostim, founded in 1967, is an organized industrial zone recognized as one of the leading industrial zones in Ankara. It supports over 6,200 entrepreneurs across 139 companies and 17 sectors, including defense, aviation, railway systems, medicine, communication technology, energy, and rubber technology. Ostim’s annual export volume is valued at $1.5 billion.
At the meeting, the sides discussed prospective areas of co-operation in the development of industrial zones. They reviewed the scope for using Ostim’s expertise and resources to create new industrial zones in Uzbekistan. With Ostim’s support, the number of industrial zones in the country is expected to increase, which is expected to vastly increase Uzbekistan's industrial potential and contribute to economic growth in various sectors of the economy.
As a conclusion, this partnership is aimed at stimulating innovation, creating new jobs and strengthening bilateral economic ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
