During the conversation, areas of cooperation with the World Bank in the field of public procurement were discussed. In particular, the discussion covered the development of the electronic public procurement system and the introduction of artificial intelligence into the sector, the expansion of "green" public procurement, the improvement of the contract management system, and the establishment of an effective monitoring system over the procurement procedures of state procuring entities, among other topics.

The parties emphasized the importance of initiatives aimed at strengthening public control by expanding the competitive environment and ensuring openness in Uzbekistan's public procurement system. In this regard, Felipe Goya expressed the World Bank's readiness to support the implementation of priority tasks defined by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF–259 dated December 26, 2025, "On further measures to ensure a competitive environment and transparency in the public procurement system."

At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to accelerate reforms in the field of public procurement and to develop new joint projects based on technical and financial assistance from the World Bank.
