International cooperation
Since the beginning of the activity of the Energy Market Development and Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency has begun cooperation in strategically important areas with such international financial institutions as the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the US Agency for International Development, the International Financial Corporation and the French Development Agency. In its turn, this cooperation provides an opportunity to interact with international experts with different experience.
In a short period of time, in assistance of international experts, a fairly large amount of work has been done related to the development of a regulatory framework for the activities and supply of the necessary office equipment for the Agency.
In addition, on the basis of Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 28, 2023 No. PP-28, the above mentioned international financial institutions provide assistance in developing the necessary rules, norms and procedures that should be established in the energy market. In particular, a list and chronology of the development and adoption of regulatory legal acts necessary for a gradual and coordinated transition to the energy market has been developed.
Also, the involvement of a number of world-famous consultants who will participate in the development of the necessary standards for the further development and functioning of the energy market has been worked out.
It is necessary to note one more important detail, within the framework of cooperation, international financial institutions will organize seminars, round tables, trainings, master classes in all areas important for the Agency in Uzbekistan and other countries.
