A Roadshow organized by the State Assets Management Agency was held in Gulistan. The event, organized for the sixth consecutive year, aims to inform entrepreneurs and investors about opportunities to privatize state-owned property, bring unused assets into economic circulation, and showcase the region’s investment potential.
More than 200 participants attended the event, including heads of relevant organizations, representatives of public authorities, entrepreneurs, investors, and civil society institutions.
The presentation provided detailed information on state assets and land plots offered for privatization, new mechanisms for acquiring state property, as well as opportunities to make effective use of existing assets and implement new investment projects. Participants also exchanged views on ongoing efforts in this area and measures aimed at increasing state budget revenues.
Land Plots and State Assets: Results and Prospects
As noted by Akmaljon Sharifovich Babadjanov, Head of the Syrdarya Regional Department of the State Assets Management Agency, in 2026, 708 land plots with a total area of 384.2 hectares were sold through the electronic online auction platform for UZS 114.1 billion.
Currently, auction proceedings are underway for land plots covering a total area of 224.5 hectares.
In addition, during 2026, 56 state assets with a total value of UZS 319.0 billion were put up for auction. Of these, 22 assets were sold for UZS 94.4 billion. Currently, 53 state assets with a total value of UZS 310.6 billion are available at auction.
These figures demonstrate the wide range of opportunities available to entrepreneurs and investors interested in acquiring property and land plots to develop their businesses and implement new projects.
New Privatization Mechanisms — Additional Opportunities for Business
Special attention during the event was given to the new terms предусмотрed under the 2026 Privatization Programme.
In particular, buyers of state assets and non-agricultural land plots may make an initial payment of 15 percent of the asset’s value. The remaining amount may be paid in interest-free installments within the periods established by law.
These terms expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors to acquire state property and help them plan their financial resources more effectively for business development.
The Roadshow held in Gulistan served as an important platform for familiarizing entrepreneurs and investors with state assets offered for sale, existing privatization mechanisms, and opportunities to acquire state property.
Such events play an important role in ensuring the openness and transparency of privatization processes, expanding the pool of potential investors, and creating new opportunities for the effective use of state assets.
The State Assets Management Agency will continue informing entrepreneurs and investors across the country’s regions about opportunities to participate in privatization processes, acquire state assets offered for sale, and implement promising investment projects.
