Starting November 8, 2026, Uzbekistan’s new Law “On Real Estate Brokerage Activities” will enter into force. The law aims to increase transparency in the real estate market, strengthen professional standards, and enhance the protection of citizens’ rights.
The law provides for improvements to the regulatory framework for real estate brokerage services, higher qualification requirements for professionals, and the development of modern real estate market infrastructure.
One of the key developments is the establishment of a Unified Register of realtors, real estate brokerage organizations, and real estate agents. The register will enable citizens to verify the legal status of market participants, promote greater transparency, and strengthen mechanisms for protecting consumers’ rights and legitimate interests.
The register will be maintained electronically by the authorized state body, with its information published on the official website. It will contain information on realtors, real estate brokerage organizations, real estate agents, and professional public associations operating in the sector.
Another important measure is the introduction of mandatory civil liability insurance for real estate brokerage organizations and real estate agents. This mechanism will provide additional protection for clients’ interests in cases covered by applicable legislation and insurance policies.
The law also introduces a Multilisting system, an electronic platform designed to collect, store, and exchange information about real estate properties in real time. The system is expected to facilitate cooperation among market participants and support the development of modern digital services.
The Agency for Management of State Assets of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been designated as the authorized state body responsible for regulating real estate brokerage activities.
The entry into force of the law marks an important step toward building a more transparent, professional, and modern real estate market that serves the interests of citizens, businesses, and investors.
