A Roadshow organized by the State Assets Management Agency was held in Karshi. Entrepreneurs and investors were introduced to state assets and land plots offered for privatization, as well as new mechanisms for acquiring state-owned property.
The traditional Roadshow event, organized by the State Assets Management Agency, took place in Kashkadarya Region for the sixth consecutive year. The event aimed to raise awareness among entrepreneurs and investors of opportunities to acquire state assets, bring unused properties into economic circulation, and implement new investment projects.
The event brought together heads of relevant regional organizations, representatives of public authorities, entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of civil society institutions. More than 200 people participated.
The Roadshow presented ongoing efforts to privatize state assets and land plots, ensure the effective use of unused properties, attract investment, and increase revenues to the state budget.
Land Plots and State Assets: Results and Prospects
According to Asliddin Turdiyevich Rustamov, Head of the State Assets Management Agency’s territorial department in Kashkadarya Region, 1,028 land plots with a total area of 256.9 hectares were sold through the electronic online auction platform in 2026, generating UZS 155.9 billion.
Auctions for land plots covering a total area of 402.8 hectares are currently ongoing.
In addition, 64 state assets with a total value of UZS 372.5 billion were put up for auction during 2026. Of these, 52 assets were sold for UZS 89.9 billion. Currently, 95 state assets with a total value of UZS 619.1 billion are available at auction.
These figures demonstrate the opportunities available to entrepreneurs and investors interested in acquiring property and land plots to develop their businesses and implement new projects.
New Privatization Mechanisms — Additional Opportunities for Business
Special attention was given to the new terms provided under the privatization programme for 2026.
In particular, when purchasing state assets and land plots not designated for agricultural use, buyers may make an initial payment of 15% of the asset’s value. The remaining amount may be paid in interest-free installments within the time limits established by law.
These terms expand entrepreneurs’ and investors’ opportunities to acquire state property and help them plan their financial resources more effectively for future business development.
The Roadshow in Karshi served as an important platform for informing the business community about assets offered for auction, existing privatization mechanisms, and available options for acquiring state-owned property.
Such events help promote transparency in privatization processes, broaden the pool of potential investors, and create conditions for the more effective use of state assets.
The State Assets Management Agency will continue to inform entrepreneurs and investors across the country’s regions about opportunities to participate in privatization and implement promising projects.
