A Roadshow organized by the Agency for Management of State Assets was held in Termez, presenting entrepreneurs and investors with state assets and land plots offered for privatization, as well as new mechanisms for acquiring state property.
The traditional Roadshow organized by the Agency for Management of State Assets took place in Surkhandarya Region. Held for the sixth consecutive year, the event aims to raise awareness among entrepreneurs and investors of opportunities to acquire state assets, bring unused properties into economic circulation, and implement new investment projects.
The event brought together heads of relevant regional organizations, representatives of government authorities, entrepreneurs, investors, and civil society organizations. More than 200 people attended.
The Roadshow presented the Agency’s key activities in the privatization of state assets and land plots, the efficient use of vacant properties, investment attraction, and increasing state budget revenues.
Land Plots and State Assets: Results and Prospects
According to Samandar Khudoyberdiyev, Head of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of the Agency for Management of State Assets, 897 land plots with a total area of 153 hectares were sold through the electronic online auction platform in 2026, generating UZS 132.8 billion.
Auctions for land plots covering a total area of 526.5 hectares are currently ongoing.
In addition, 87 state assets with a total value of UZS 281.1 billion were put up for auction during 2026. Of these, 41 assets were sold for UZS 92.5 billion. Currently, 90 state assets with a total value of UZS 333.8 billion are available at auction.
A further 231 liquid assets owned by commercial banks operating in the region have also been put up for auction.
These figures demonstrate the wide range of opportunities available to entrepreneurs and investors seeking to acquire property and land for business development and the implementation of new projects.
New Privatization Mechanisms — Additional Opportunities for Business
Special attention was given to the new privatization terms introduced under the 2026 programme.
In particular, buyers of state assets and non-agricultural land plots may make an initial payment of 15% of the asset’s value. The remaining amount may be paid in interest-free instalments within the timeframes established by law.
These terms expand opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors to acquire property and enable them to plan their financial resources more effectively for future business development.
Participants were also informed about additional terms for acquiring state-owned real estate in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In particular, a 25% discount on the contract value is available if the full payment is made within six months and before 1 January 2027.
The Roadshow served as a platform for informing the business community about assets offered for sale, existing privatization mechanisms, and available options for acquiring state property.
Such events are aimed at ensuring transparency in privatization processes, broadening the pool of potential investors, and creating conditions for the more efficient use of state assets.
The Agency for Management of State Assets will continue to inform entrepreneurs and investors about opportunities to participate in privatization and implement promising projects across the country’s regions.
