Privatization in Figures: Results for Fergana Region
During the event, Alisher Saliyev, Head of the Agency’s Fergana Regional Department, presented the region’s privatization results for 2026.
During this period, 1,032 land plots with a total area of 111.5 hectares, previously held by citizens and entrepreneurs under permanent-use, lease, and lifelong-possession rights, were privatized. The total transaction value amounted to UZS 9.8 billion.
As a result, citizens and entrepreneurs gained the opportunity to use the acquired land plots as collateral and to sell them in parts in accordance with the established legal procedures.
In 2026, 108 state-owned assets with a total value of UZS 871.1 billion were put up for auction. Of these, 38 assets were sold for a total of UZS 689.7 billion.
Auctions are currently ongoing for 65 state-owned assets with a total value of UZS 380.1 billion.
Land Plots: New Opportunities for Investors
In 2026, land plots with a total area of 234 hectares were sold through electronic online auctions for UZS 200 billion.
Electronic online auctions are currently underway for land plots covering a total area of 585.5 hectares.
These mechanisms enable entrepreneurs and investors to acquire land under transparent and competitive conditions to launch new business initiatives and implement investment projects.
Acquiring State-Owned Assets Has Become More Accessible
Special attention during the Roadshow was given to new privatization opportunities under the 2026 Privatization Programme, approved by Presidential Decree No. UP-177.
Under the new arrangements, buyers of state-owned assets and non-agricultural land plots may make an initial payment of 15% of the asset’s value, with the remaining amount payable in interest-free installments within the time limits established by law.
In addition, a 25% discount on the contract value is available for state-owned real estate in the Republic of Karakalpakstan if the full payment is made within six months, before January 1, 2027.
These measures are designed to broaden access to state-owned property, encourage business activity, and create additional opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors to implement new projects.
From State-Owned Assets to New Investment Projects
As part of the Roadshow, participants received information on current privatization procedures, electronic online auctions, the effective use of vacant state-owned properties, and opportunities to develop investment projects based on these assets.
The event provided a platform for dialogue between government representatives, entrepreneurs, and investors interested in acquiring state-owned assets and expanding business activities in Fergana Region.
The Agency’s Roadshow initiative aims to ensure that entrepreneurs and investors have timely access to information about available assets, acquisition procedures, and new opportunities for business development.
