Today, a Roadshow organized by the Agency for Management of State Assets was held in Samarkand, Samarkand Region. The initiative, which is being held for the sixth consecutive year, aims to inform entrepreneurs, investors and the general public about state assets and land plots offered for privatization, as well as new opportunities for business development and investment.
The event was attended by Nodirbek Khusanov, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Management of State Assets; Akram Egamov, Head of the Samarkand Regional Territorial Department of the Agency; Habib Mamatov, Regional Representative of the Samarkand Region of JSC “Organization of Electronic Online Auctions”; Abduvohid Yangiboyev, Head of the Samarkand Regional Territorial Department of the Center for Effective Use of State Property; heads of regional organizations; more than 280 entrepreneurs and investors; and representatives of civil society institutions in the region.
Participants received detailed information on the Agency’s ongoing efforts to privatize state assets and land plots, ensure the effective use of vacant properties, promote entrepreneurship, implement investment projects based on these assets, and increase state budget revenues.
Speaking at the event, Akram Egamov, Head of the Samarkand Regional Territorial Department of the Agency for Management of State Assets, noted that in 2026, 193 land plots with a total area of 22.4 hectares, held by citizens and entrepreneurs under permanent use, lease and lifelong ownership rights, were privatized in the region. The total value of these transactions amounted to UZS 4.3 billion.
As a result, citizens and entrepreneurs gained the opportunity to use the acquired land plots as collateral or sell them in parts in accordance with the established legal procedures.
During 2026, 99 state assets with a total value of UZS 736 billion were put up for auction. Of these, 73 assets were sold for a total of UZS 374.9 billion. Currently, 62 state assets with a total value of UZS 495.5 billion are available at auction.
In addition, in 2026, 807 land plots with a total area of 391.2 hectares were sold through electronic online auctions. Online auctions for land plots covering a total area of 635.0 hectares are currently ongoing.
Special attention during the Roadshow was given to new opportunities under the 2026 Privatization Programme, approved by Presidential Decree No. UP-177.
In particular, when purchasing state assets and non-agricultural land plots, buyers may make an initial payment of 15% of the purchase price and pay the remaining amount in interest-free instalments within the periods and under the conditions established by law.
These mechanisms are designed to expand access to state assets, encourage entrepreneurial initiative, improve the efficiency of state property utilization, and attract investment into the regional economy.
Roadshows provide entrepreneurs and investors with up-to-date information on assets offered for privatization, help them understand the existing mechanisms for acquiring state property and land plots, and enable them to explore opportunities for implementing new investment projects.
