Seven administrative buildings of Ministries and Agencies sold in Tashkent as government institutions relocate to New Tashkent

Another 11 properties have been put up for auction with a total starting price of UZS 1,095.8 billion, while pre-sale preparations are underway for 20 properties. Auctions are ongoing for buildings belonging to the State Assets Management Agency, Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, Agency for Technical Regulation, Ministry of Water Resources, and their subordinate organizations.
The sale of the buildings is being carried out pursuant to Resolution No. 146 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 7 March 2025, which provides for the relocation of ministries, agencies and their subordinate organizations to New Tashkent. The resolution envisages the relocation of 150 state bodies and organizations with state participation, as well as the sale through open auctions, including lease rights, of 83 real estate properties belonging to them in Tashkent.
Thus, more than half of the 83 properties designated for sale have already entered the implementation process: 7 buildings have changed ownership, while another 31 properties are at various stages of preparation and auction.
The process is being carried out in parallel with the development of new administrative infrastructure in New Tashkent. Proceeds from the sale of the properties are directly reinvested in the construction of this infrastructure. In this way, the relocation of ministries and agencies to New Tashkent is being financed in part through the realization of the state assets they are vacating.
