In the Republic of Uzbekistan, youth policy is being consistently implemented as one of the priority areas of state policy. The development of a well-rounded, modern, patriotic, and proactive young generation remains a key focus of the country’s leadership.
Uzbekistan has established a solid legal and institutional framework for youth policy. Laws, decrees, and resolutions adopted in recent years are aimed at ensuring access to quality education, professional training, employment support, increased social engagement, and comprehensive encouragement of young people’s potential. Special emphasis is placed on promoting youth entrepreneurship and innovation.
Within the framework of youth policy, particular importance is attached to modernizing the education system, strengthening the integration of science and industry, and creating favorable conditions for mastering digital technologies. In this regard, the development of vocational and dual education systems, as well as the enhancement of practical skills, are considered essential. Special attention is given to training young professionals and ensuring their employment in industrial sectors, including the light industry.
The Agency for the Development of Light Industry under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan also actively contributes to the implementation of youth policy. Key areas of focus include organizing internship and practical training programs for young specialists at light industry enterprises, providing training based on modern technologies, supporting youth employment, and fostering professional development.
In addition, significant attention is paid to engaging young people in innovation processes, the introduction of green technologies, environmentally sustainable production, and digital solutions. This approach contributes not only to the personal and professional growth of young specialists but also to enhancing the competitiveness of the industry as a whole.
In conclusion, youth policy represents a vital investment in the future of the nation. The development of educated, skilled, and initiative-driven young professionals is a cornerstone of Uzbekistan’s sustainable development. The Agency for the Development of Light Industry will continue to consistently support youth initiatives and contribute to the training of highly qualified professionals for the sector.
