UzNADA Privacy Notice
(Draft prepared in accordance with ISPPPI Articles 5 and 7 and WADA guidance)
1. Identity and Contact Details of the Anti-Doping Organization
The National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan (UzNADA) is responsible for collecting and Processing Personal Information for Anti-Doping Activities in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards.
2. Types of Personal Information Processed
UzNADA may Process the following categories of Personal Information:
- Identification data (name, date of birth, sex, nationality, sport/discipline, team)
- Contact details (address, phone number, email)
- Anti-doping related information (whereabouts, TUE applications, Sample collection data, chain of custody forms)
- Laboratory results, ABP data, medical supporting documents where applicable
- Results Management information (hearing decisions, statements, disciplinary documents)
- Intelligence and investigative information
- Any additional Personal Information strictly necessary and proportionate to Anti-Doping Activities
3. Purposes of Processing
Personal Information is Processed to carry out Anti-Doping Activities, including:
- Test distribution planning, Sample collection, Sample handling and transport
- Evaluation of TUE applications
- Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) management
- Investigations into possible anti-doping rule violations
- Results Management, hearings, and appeals
- Intelligence gathering in accordance with the ISTI
- Education and compliance activities
- Any additional purposes exclusively linked to the fight against doping, subject to documented assessment
4. Potential Recipients of Personal Information
Personal Information may be shared with:
- WADA and its authorized agents
- Other Anti-Doping Organizations (ADOs) including IFs, NFs, NADOs, and Major Event Organizations
- Accredited anti-doping laboratories and Athlete Passport Management Units (APMUs)
- Hearing panels, appeal bodies, and CAS
- Third Parties and service providers supporting Anti-Doping Activities (e.g., Sample transporters, IT service providers, ADAMS support)
- Public authorities when required by law or compulsory legal process
- Individual authorized by the participant (e.g. agent, coach, doctor, guardian).
5. Public Disclosure
Where permitted by the Code and applicable law, UzNADA may publicly disclose:
- Name and sport of participant and related anti-doping rule violations (ADRV), including prohibited substance if applicable.
- Hearing and appeal decisions
- Sanctions and their duration for a participant found to have committed an ADRV.
No other Personal Information will be disclosed publicly.
6. Rights of Participants
Participants have the following rights:
- Right to access their Personal Information
- Right to request rectification or correction of inaccurate information
- Right to request restrictions on Processing in cases permitted by the ISPPPI
- Right to submit complaints regarding Processing
- Right to be informed of data breaches affecting their Personal Information, as required by law
Because anti-doping is a mandatory feature of organized sport, it still may be necessary for UzNADA, WADA, and other ADOs and organizations to continue to process your personal information to fulfill obligations under the Code, the International Standards, or national anti-doping laws, despite a participant’s objection to such processing or withdrawal of consent (where applicable). This includes processing for investigations or proceedings related to possible ADRVs, as well as processing to establish, exercise or defend against legal claims involving the participant, WADA and/or an ADO. Objecting or withdrawing consent could also have consequences for the participant, such as triggering non-compliance with the Code and IS, as well as UzNADA’s anti-doping rules; producing an ADRV (e.g., under Article 2.3 of the Code – Evasion, Refusal or Failure to Submit to Sample Collection); or preventing the participant from participating in sporting events.

7. Complaints Procedure
Participants may submit complaints:

8. Retention Period
UzNADA retains Personal Information only for periods defined in the ISPPPI and Code, including:
- Testing and Results Management records: minimum 10 years
- Whereabouts information: 18 months
- TUE records: 10 years
- ABP data: retained as long as necessary for ABP operations
- Intelligence/investigation data: retained only as long as necessary
Retention periods may vary where required by law.
9. Additional Information for Fair Processing
- UzNADA does not Process Personal Information unnecessarily or beyond what is proportionate for Anti-Doping Activities.
- Personal Information is kept accurate and updated, with corrections made promptly when notified.
- UzNADA may temporarily delay providing notice where doing so could jeopardize testing, investigations, or integrity of anti-doping processes.
- UzNADA has adopted measures, including administrative, technical, physical and contractual measures, to protect personal information in our custody and control against theft, loss and unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure.
