Current issues of development of electrical engineering industry discussed

At the initiative of the "Uzeltekhsanoat" Association, an open dialogue was organized with the participation of heads of electrical industry enterprises. The event was held to prepare for the VI Open Dialogue of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with entrepreneurs, to systematically study the appeals, proposals and problems of representatives of the industry and to convey them to the authorized state bodies.
The event was attended by the leadership of the "Uzeltekhsanoat" Association, Director of the Agency for Technical Regulation Akmal Jumanazarov, representatives of industry organizations, and heads of electrical industry enterprises.
During the open dialogue, a number of areas were discussed aimed at further developing the electrical engineering industry, addressing pressing issues in the activities of manufacturing enterprises, and improving the business environment. In particular, special attention was paid to the issues of expanding industrial cooperation, increasing the level of localization, improving the quality of products and increasing their competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets.
An exchange of views also took place on the introduction of international and national standards, improving the system of testing and certification of products, and expanding the participation of local manufacturers in public procurement. The prospects for using local products in projects to increase energy efficiency and build small-capacity solar power plants in mahallas were also considered.
During the dialogue, the Director of the Agency for Technical Regulation, Akmal Jumanazarov, answered in detail the questions and appeals raised by the participants. At the same time, information was presented on the reforms being implemented in the field of technical regulation in our country, as well as new opportunities being created for entrepreneurs and manufacturers in the fields of standardization, conformity assessment, and metrology.
Following the event, it was decided to summarize the proposals and appeals made by the participants, submit them to the relevant ministries and departments in the prescribed manner, and take them into account when forming a package of proposals for the agenda of the VI Open Dialogue with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
