Currently, the mahalla has a population of 7,600, approximately 10 percent of whom work in the service sector. Since the beginning of the year, on the recommendation of the hokim's assistant, 2 billion soums in loans and 115 million soums in credits have been allocated to the mahalla for business development and family entrepreneurship. As a result, 16 families registered with the social security list have been lifted out of poverty.
Hokim of Kokand held a meeting with residents and leadership of the mahalla, where he set goals for the effective organization of the mahalla's activities and addressing the social problems of its residents.
During the meeting, Maruf Usmanov also reviewed residents' applications and instructed officials to assist citizens seeking loans for home renovations and to find a suitable site in the mahalla for the construction of a youth stadium.
