On November 8, Hilton Tashkent City will host an open day for the export accelerator program. This initiative by the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade initiative is designed to fast-track competitive Uzbek products to global markets. The event will be attended the Ministry’s leadership, representatives from 100 companies that have passed the first selection stage, and expert trainers from the CIS and EU.
Under the program, finalists from the initial selection stage will enter an educational phase with international mentors and speakers. Experts view the accelerator as a unique opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses across sectors to become significant exporters to large global markets.
“The accelerator program has seen high demand, especially in agriculture, textiles, and industry. This cohort includes 100 seats, with 20 additional companies in reserve should any participants fall short of the performance criteria for the first module,” said Ekaterina Norkina, CEO of IMGR Group.
Upon completion, an expert team will support the companies as they enter foreign markets, fully preparing them for export contracts.
"Considering Uzbekistan’s most promising export directions and local market specifics, we developed a unique training module for the program’s first phase. The goal is to set clear export targets, identify priority markets and partners, and design a direct communication strategy," noted Ekaterina Norkina, CEO of IMGR Group. "Our focus isn’t limited to training – from the first module, participants will deliver initial pitches within their industry groups, each step including practical presentations, which are essential for external negotiations. Beyond core training in exports and export contract economics, participants will also attend a speech design training session led by a professional coach. Our approach is to work with participant companies as a team.”
The program’s success will be measured by the number of export contracts secured over the year, with leading international matchmaking experts and export specialists for CIS and Middle Eastern markets assisting in this effort.
More than 70% of the participating companies come from Uzbekistan’s regions, representing the highest rate of applications outside the capital, with over 21% from Samarkand region. The primary export destinations for these companies include CIS and Central Asian countries (over 61%), Europe (23%), and the Middle East (5.8%).
