Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On October 9, 2025, members of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Labor, Healthcare and Social Issues visited the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.

During the meeting, the deputies were provided with detailed information on the main directions of the agency, the effective organization of external labor migration, and the work being carried out to ensure the legal and safe labor activity of citizens.

The delegation was also provided with information on the implementation of tasks and measures taken during the expanded anti-corruption meetings held by the Agency on March 5 and July 29, 2025.

During the visit, issues of preventing corruption in the sphere of labor migration, protecting the rights and interests of citizens, as well as improving legislation to prevent illegal labor migration were discussed.

In particular, an exchange of views took place on the fact that some private consulting firms are carrying out illegal activities to employ citizens abroad, as a result of which many citizens are being deceived. In this regard, proposals have been developed to strengthen responsibility for persons organizing illegal migration and to introduce relevant legal norms into legislation.

Following the meeting, the Migration Agency and the committee members agreed to implement joint measures to further strengthen cooperation, raise legal awareness and awareness of citizens, and organize the processes of labor migration transparently and effectively.
