The number of migrants in the EU has increased to a record level

The number of migrants in the European Union reached a record high of 64.2 million. This is stated in a report prepared by the Center for Migration Research and Analysis (CReAM) in cooperation with the Rockwool Foundation Berlin charity.
According to it, 64.2 million immigrants lived in the EU countries in 2025. This figure increased by 2.1 million compared to last year, reaching a record high. For comparison, in 2010, the number of immigrants in the EU was about 40 million.
The report notes that Germany remains the country with the largest number of migrants – there are about 18 million migrants there. In France and Spain, their number increased to 9.6 million and 9.5 million, respectively. At the same time, Spain has the largest influx of migrants among major European countries.
