Specific tasks for external labor migration

Under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a videoconference meeting was held with the participation of the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions abroad.
At the meeting, the main tasks of the heads of regions and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad were defined as the systematic organization of external labor migration, the work on directing our citizens to high-paying and legal jobs abroad:
1. Expansion of jobs abroad
Today, citizens of Uzbekistan work in more than 30 countries on the basis of organized migration. Now, by expanding cooperation with Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, it has been instructed to direct our citizens to high-paying jobs, as well as to develop cooperation with the USA on seasonal work.
2. Strengthening vocational and language training
Today, companies from Germany, Japan, and South Korea are organizing vocational and language training courses in our country. From now on, ambassadors will also be responsible for vocational and language training at the request of foreign employers.
3. Direct work with citizens abroad
Ambassadors and consuls were instructed to work on-site with citizens abroad, simplify consular services, promptly consider incoming appeals, create a free call center, and provide practical assistance.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev specifically addressed the issue of ensuring the legal status of our citizens abroad:
"We are concerned that we have citizens who are abroad illegally,"
said the head of state.
Last year, "migration amnesty" was applied to more than 150,000 citizens in Russia. It was emphasized that it is necessary to assist our citizens in working legally in other countries, and at the same time, our citizens must comply with the requirements of the legislation of the state in which they are located.
