On the Meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea

As part of an official working visit to the Republic of Korea, the delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev held talks with Jung Ki-hong, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for expanding economic cooperation, supporting the Korean diaspora in Uzbekistan and Uzbek citizens in Korea, as well as issues related to labor migration. Currently, interagency coordination of a draft agreement on migration partnership is ongoing.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea confirmed its readiness to facilitate the signing of the document and to strengthen cooperation in the cultural-humanitarian, economic, and labor migration spheres.
