On July 16, 2025, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Erik Kurzweil, Commissioner of the German Federal Foreign Office for Indo-Pacific Policy, South Asia, and Afghanistan.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral cooperation regarding Afghanistan. The importance of maintaining a regular dialogue on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan was emphasized.
The meeting was held in a constructive spirit, and both parties agreed to further develop practical dialogue between Tashkent and Berlin.
