On March 20, 2025, in Khiva, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held the First Meeting of the Ministerial Council.
Key issues on the agenda included strengthening strategic partnership and ties of friendship.
The meeting resulted in the signing of the Protocol on the First Meeting of Ministerial Council, during which the parties agreed to strengthen political dialogue, expand trade and economic cooperation, and deepen cultural ties between the peoples.
Additionally, the delegation visited the Ichan Qala complex in Khiva, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage site, and familiarized themselves with the rich cultural and historical heritage of their ancestors. The unique architecture and vibrant spirit of Khiva were once again recognized as a symbol of the centuries-old shared history and friendship between the two nations.The constructive discussions held during the visit contribute to further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the brotherly countries.
