Meeting with the Ambassador of the US to Uzbekistan

On February 18, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan. Mutual interest in maintaining a regular dialogue on the Afghan settlement was emphasized. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of supporting international collective efforts to improve the situation in Afghanistan.
The American side welcomed the inclusion of the international transport and logistics hub “Termez Cargo Center” in the UNHCR global supply network.
