Meeting with Assistant Representative of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Uzbekistan

On February 17, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Munira Aminova met with Sherzod Umarov, Assistant Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representative in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and FAO, attraction of international funds and donor countries for the implementation of environmentally sustainable projects, diversification of agricultural production with an emphasis on sustainable development and modernization, development of gene banks for the conservation of agricultural biodiversity were discussed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to support FAO in the implementation of these projects and the continuation of fruitful cooperation to achieve goals in the field of food security, sustainable rural development and improving the well-being of the country's population.
