Meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia

On October 3, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Khaydarov held a meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno. Salahuddin Uno highly appreciated the level of organization and holding of the World Conference on Creative Economy in Tashkent.
He noted that the Forum has become an important platform for learning the social and economic challenges associated with the rapid development of technology and the role of creative industries in shaping a sustainable future. Issues of further development and deepening of the Uzbekistan–Indonesia relations, perspective directions for the development of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
The parties expressed interest in intensifying political dialogue, expanding contacts between business circles, and exchanging experience in the field of the "halal" industry and the creative economy. The Indonesian Minister noted with pleasure that the opening of the “Sukarno Park” this year in September in Samarkand was a big step in strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.
The negotiations also emphasized the need to further increase tourism exchanges, especially in the field of "ziyorat" tourism, practical aspects of the implementation of relevant joint projects were also discussed.
