Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Helene Sand Andresen, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan and emphasized their mutual interest in maintaining a regular dialogue on the Afghan settlement.

H. Andresen highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts in developing a consolidated regional position on Afghanistan.

An exchange of views took place on the restoration of Afghanistan’s national economy, as well as the prospects for involving the country in regional connectivity processes.
