Uzbek–Korean political consultations were held in Seoul

On April 9, 2026, the 17th round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea was held in Seoul.
The delegations were led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullayev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Chung Yi Hae.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to Uzbekistan–Korea relations and identified priority areas of cooperation for the near future.
Particular attention was paid to the schedule of upcoming events at various levels and formats.
The agenda also included issues of deepening cooperation in the field of labour migration.
Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea agreed to continue close dialogue between the foreign ministries in order to strengthen practical cooperation on a broad range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
