Meeting with the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev met with Tariq Fatemi, the Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs, in Islamabad.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, as well as issues related to further development of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture.
The Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan acknowledged Uzbekistan’s historical significance in the region and its rich cultural heritage, and particularly emphasized the contribution of the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand to world civilization.
In the course of the dialogue, the parties reviewed in detail the schedule of visits at various levels and joint events planned for the current year.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop and implement new practical proposals aimed at further deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
