On the Meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan

On December 30, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun.
During the meeting, the outcomes of 2025 were summarized and priority areas for the all-round comprehensive strategic partnership for 2026 were outlined.
The progressive and sustainable development of bilateral cooperation, the maintenance of regular and meaningful contacts at high level, as well as the significant intensification of interregional partnership were noted with satisfaction.
The expansion of interaction across a wide range of areas, including political dialogue, trade, economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation, was emphasized, contributing to the further strengthening of the all-round comprehensive strategic partnership and the implementation of joint initiatives. It was noted that the development of bilateral relations is consistently based on the strong principles of friendship and mutual trust, equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, support for the key interests of both parties, and a shared commitment to joint development, sustainable progress, and prosperity.
The Chinese side reaffirmed its unwavering support for Uzbekistan’s chosen path of independent national development and expressed its readiness to continue to provide comprehensive assistance in advancing the priority socioeconomic reform programs implemented within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan” Strategy.
The Uzbek side, in turn, reaffirmed its consistent and principled support for the “One China” policy, as well as the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue working contacts to discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda.
