On December 4, in Vienna, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Munira Aminova met with a UNIDO delegation headed by Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General and Managing Director of the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed priority areas for expanding cooperation and the prospects for a strategic partnership. They reviewed the preparation and signing of a basic cooperation agreement, as well as the initiative to establish a Regional Hub on Green Technologies, aimed at enhancing the region’s innovative and environmentally oriented potential. The sides also discussed inviting the UNIDO Director General to visit Uzbekistan and the conditions for opening the organization’s official office in the country.
In addition, they considered the implementation of joint projects in pharmaceuticals, standardization, electrical engineering, and other priority areas supporting industrial development and the introduction of advanced technological solutions in Uzbekistan.
