Committee of the Treasury service under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In order to further strengthen cooperation between the Treasury Service Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea Fiscal Information Service (KFIS), a Korean delegation visited the city of Tashkent.

The delegation is headed by the President of the Korea Fiscal Information Service, Yoon Seokho. The delegation also includes Lee Hyonyoung, Secretary General of the KFIS President’s Office, Kim Cheolhyun, Senior Manager of the International Cooperation Department, and researcher Woo Sanghi.

As part of the visit, high-level meetings were held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and at the Treasury Service Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meetings were attended by Abdulaziz Haydarov, Chairman of the Treasury Service Committee, ministry officials, and specialists of the Treasury Service Committee. Particular attention was paid to elevating bilateral cooperation to a new stage, modernizing public financial management systems, and advancing digitalization initiatives.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the digitalization of public financial management systems, modernization of existing information systems, development of an integrated public financial management information system, and adaptation of the Korean experience to the conditions of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the areas of the Republic of Korea’s advanced experience, particularly the dBrain+ system, the e-Naradoum platform, fiscal data analysis, and the digitalization of public financial management processes.

In addition, the Korean side discussed the engagement of a highly qualified expert in the modernization of public financial management information systems. It is planned that this expert will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the existing systems, develop a practical roadmap for the new integrated system, and provide recommendations on the introduction of artificial intelligence and data analytics capabilities.

The parties emphasized that this cooperation is of great importance for further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, introducing modern digital solutions into the public financial management system, and increasing the efficiency of budgetary processes.

At the same time, the parties expressed their readiness to consistently continue cooperation in the areas of exchanging experience, improving the qualifications of specialists, introducing advanced information technologies, and implementing joint projects in the field of public financial management.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was noted that the visit of the Korea Fiscal Information Service delegation would become an important step toward elevating practical cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea to a new level, as well as further developing a more transparent, integrated, and efficient public financial management system.
