In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 3, 2025, No. PF-207, systematic and large-scale efforts are being carried out across the country to protect public health and the nation’s gene pool from drug abuse and drug-related crime.
This area has been identified as a priority of state policy, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan pays special attention to this issue. In particular, specific tasks have been set to protect young people from harmful habits, promote a healthy lifestyle in society, and ensure an uncompromising fight against drug abuse.
Within the framework of the Decree, the following measures are being implemented nationwide:
- preventive measures against drug abuse are being systematically strengthened;
- extensive awareness and outreach activities are conducted in educational institutions, communities, and workplaces;
- the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in combating drug-related crimes is being enhanced;
- cooperation between government bodies and public organizations is being strengthened;
- special attention is paid to improving legal awareness and culture among the population.
In addition, measures are being taken to introduce modern approaches, as well as to study and implement best international practices in order to improve efficiency in this field.
Currently, all necessary measures are being implemented in the country to combat drug abuse and drug-related crime, strengthen public health, and raise a healthy generation.
In the future, work in this area will be consistently continued, while creating a healthy social environment, protecting the population from harmful influences, and ensuring a safe life will remain key priorities.
