The State Assets Management Agency of the republic of Uzbekistan

On 28 May this year, Deputy Director of the State Assets Management Agency A. Miraliev took part in the 8th meeting of the Working Group on Accession to the WTO, held in Geneva, Switzerland, also members of the delegation consisting of representatives of UzSAMA met with the delegation headed by the Director of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce.

For information: The Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SACC) was founded in 2005 and aims to develop business and trade relations between Switzerland and Asia. Today it has established trade relations with more than 18 countries in the Asian region.

During the meeting, A. Miraliev made a detailed presentation on reforms to increase the share of the private sector in Uzbekistan's economy, privatisation processes and its opportunities.

Representatives of Swiss business were invited to invest in our country's economy and were provided with detailed information on large enterprises with state participation to be sold within the framework of privatisation.

In turn, Urs Lustenberger, Director of the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce, offered to introduce the representatives of Swiss business to these opportunities and further expand co-operation in specific areas.
