Regarding residents’ concerns in the Chinobod mahalla of Baliqchi District, Andijan Region, about mahalla budget funds and coal intended for distribution among the population

In recent days, a video has circulated on social media containing allegations that the chairperson of the Citizens’ Assembly of Chinobod Mahalla in Baliqchi District misappropriated 48 million soums from the mahalla budget and sold coal intended for distribution among local residents.

We hereby inform the public that the issues raised on social media have been taken seriously by the District Hokimiyat and placed under close supervision.

The expenditure of mahalla budget funds is being reviewed in accordance with Presidential Resolution No. PP-402 of the Republic of Uzbekistan, “On Measures to Organize the Activities of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan and Further Improve the Governance System in Mahallas,” as well as the requirements of the relevant regulations.

In addition, further investigations are being conducted in cooperation with the competent authorities into the circumstances surrounding the coal intended for distribution among the population.

Following the completion of the investigation, a legal assessment will be provided. If any violations of the law are confirmed, appropriate measures will be taken against those found responsible in accordance with the procedures established by law.

This matter remains under the supervision of the District Hokimiyat.
