A statement has been circulated on social media concerning the activities of the head of the Agrobank branch in Baliqchi District and employees of its monitoring department regarding loans allocated to farming enterprises, particularly the monitoring of agricultural machinery and issues related to filing claims with the court over outstanding loan debts.

The statement raises concerns that strict measures are being taken against certain farming enterprises due to delays in loan payments, while in some cases, despite debts remaining outstanding for a long period, appropriate measures are allegedly not being taken.

The Baliqchi District Hokimiyat submitted relevant information to the higher-level organization of Agrobank JSC for the circumstances to be reviewed in accordance with the established procedure.

According to information provided by the branch, if the requirements of a loan agreement are not fulfilled, the client is sent oral and written demands to eliminate the outstanding debt. In cases where payments are overdue for more than 90 days, a claim is filed with the court in accordance with the established procedure.

It was also reported that the regional office of Agrobank JSC has an internal control department, which monitors banking operations at branches according to an established schedule. It also monitors the condition and intended use of pledged property and agricultural machinery purchased with loan funds.

At the same time, in order to clarify the circumstances stated in the appeal, it is advisable for the competent authorities to conduct an objective review of where and by whom the machinery allocated to farming enterprises is actually being used, whether credit obligations are being fulfilled, and whether a consistent approach has been applied when taking measures against different clients.

If violations of the law or improper performance of official duties are identified as a result of the review, appropriate measures will be taken against the responsible persons in accordance with the established procedure.
